#KahunaArtLove – Miniatures Edition

It’s that time again, when I find some artists that I really liked this week and feature them here. It’s my way of sharing with others some of the fantastic work I find online and the artists that produce it.

I decided to do this week’s #KahunaArtLove post to feature folks who paint and work with miniatures. Personally, I think these artists are highly underrated. Some of them do amazing work and it’s a talent that my aging hands just don’t have.

The first artist is The Avi of Dorian Gray – @AviOfGray Based in Liverpool, England, he not only does miniatures but layout tiles as well. The paint on each is remarkable and brings the miniatures to life.

You can show him some love on his Twitter feed, or on his business at @RockScenics

Next up is Greggles @3dgreg. (IG: waaaghgreggles, https://www.feedyournerd.com/greggles-tabletop

To me, this is next level detail. “Chipped” paint, wear marks where you’d expect to see them. Phenomenal weathering.

On the Feed Your Nerd site, he includes some product reviews, step-by-steps of projects he’s done and more of his work.

Details like these can take a ton of time and patience. Give Greggles some love and tell him where you saw this!

The third artist this week is Pointyteeth (@GreenskinRyan)

Just. Look. At. Those. Faces!

Remember the scale of these things. Compare the size of the heads to the size of the thumb holding them. Then look at the care taken to detail THE TEETH!

Also, the shading on musculature and the detail on things like the handle of the “cutlery”. This is an insane amount of control and skill, as well as patience I fear I will never have.

If you like any of these craftspeople, let them know, give then a follow or a like.

Next up? Cosplay! That’s right, next week’s #KahunaArtLove is looking for cosplayers to feature. If you are or know one, be sure to tweet with the hashtag #KahunaArtLove, comment here, or on my Facebook page.

‘Til next week…
