Like most of us, yours truly has been subject to “Stay-At-Home” orders to keep the spread of COVID-19 down. And like many who have tried to work from home, I have run into the usual challenges.

We have five people in our house. No spare office room, so we are constantly around each other and in each other’s space. Even the dogs are getting tired of it.

The other problem with working at home is that you are accessible to everyone. Which ends up getting you the “Can you do me a favor”, followed closely by “Hey, while you’re up…”

I don’t get mad at these things, they just are what they are. People need help, and if you’re right in front of them it’s easy to just ask. So I decided it was time to find a more dedicated and somewhat isolated space.

So, we have the new Kahuna’s Lair. In the garage. Next to the water heater and furnace. Hey. it works.

And if course, I have my fearsome dire wolf keeping me safe. With such a terrifying beast on guard, who could dare interrupt my efforts?

Yup, she’s a real deterrent to… well…something.

In any case, I have my own little space amongst my tools. And if you’re going to do any serious world-building, ya gotta have tools, amirite?

Who knows, this may just be the beginning of a man cave. It is definitely the new Kahuna Lair.
