The Technologists, aka The Heretics, are a subculture of Arnathia society that are not tied specifically to any one country. They believe, contrary to most Arnathians, that technology can once again be used for the good of all.

[h3]The Fall of Technology[/h3]

It was clear to most Arnathians that The Cataclysm was the result of technology run amok. While the real reasons for the blast have been lost to the ages, most believe that the rise of technology led to experiments and events that culminated in the near extinction-level explosion.

Some believe that the gods represented by The Emissaries were angered by the rise of technology and its ubiquitous use. Others believe that technology was only used for evil, and the blast was simply a way to wipe out enemies.

[img:1266184|right]But Technologists have believed that the Cataclysm was the result of an accident, of moving too quickly and cutting corners in protocols. They are, however, a very small minority in this belief. And even the stories told by technologists, of massive cities that covered the planet and communication around the planet in seconds are the subject of ridicule – if a Technologist dares to show his face.
