After The Cataclysm  , most species on Arnathia perished. While most of the remaining sought refuge underground, some managed to survive on the surface. But their survival did not come without a price.

Many became deformed or mutated in some way. There are stories of “undead” creatures, beasts and beings that died but somehow are still moving, still hunting, still feeding.

Some animals mutated and shrunk in size while others grew multiple sizes larger.

All of these are considered abominations and are generally avoided and feared.
