Ophidians are a mutated species, a result of genetic experimentation prior to the Cataclysm and mutation due to the after-effects of the blast. They appear with an upper torso similar to that of a human, and the long tail of a snake. Lore tells the tale of Ophidians being the result of a human being bitten by the child of the snake goddess @Ssylan(deity) , and it is this god Ophidians worship.
