As the Technologists were forced into hiding, they needed a simple way to “hide in plain sight” to identify other Technologists. They wanted a symbol that would not raise any suspicion, but would be easy to spot by those who were aware if it.

They chose the Double Dragon Knot. This knot is fairly easy to create, but has a distinctive form that Technologists can identify on sight. If they see someone wearing this knot in some form, they know that individual is a fellow Technologist.

The knot is versatile. For example, it might be used to tie a leather cord to a pendant. Or it could be one of two knots, with one standard knot and one Double Dragon. Another method could be in the form of a hair tie, or knotted into a belt or sash.

The knot is also used to hitch animals to posts, or to hold gates closed. In essence, anywhere that a knot can be used is a possible location of a Double Dragon Knot.

Technologists look for these knots as a way to find like-minded individuals and for refuge from those who would hunt them, like the Dyan
